BAHA: The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture launched the first activities of its seasonal initiative at Al-Hazem Rural Farm in Al-Mandaq governorate in Baha.

The event featured 22 pavilions representing seasonal fruit farmers, beekeepers, cottage industry families, and traditional handicraft makers showcasing the region’s heritage.

The initiative aims to support farmers, beekeepers, and local producers by promoting their products, expanding market access, and highlighting Baha’s distinctive agricultural offerings, including honey. It also supports local economic growth, rural development, and the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Rural farms in Baha have become popular summer destinations, attracting visitors seeking tranquility, relaxation, and outdoor experiences.

Fahd Al-Zahrani, director general of the ministry’s branch in Baha, said the region has undergone significant development in its rural tourism sector.
