The ENSD Sirius 40Max is a 40 kW EV charging module featuring up to 99.0% peak conversion efficiency, fanless natural cooling, and an IP65-rated design for reliable operation in harsh environments.

ENSD, a China-based manufacturer of power electronics and EV charging equipment, has launched Sirius 40Max, a 40 kW EV charging module designed for commercial DC fast-charging stations operating in demanding environments.

“Powered by our propietary EN5 core technology, the system is among the world’s highest-efficiency commercial charging modules, with peak efficiency above 99% and weighted efficiency up to 98.5%,” a spokesperson from the company told pv magazine. “This performance materially reduces power loss and optimizes station energy cost.”

The module also features a standby mode with 0 W standby power consumption and zero reactive power, eliminating no-load energy consumption when the charger is idle.

Instead of conventional air or liquid cooling, the Sirius 40Max uses a fanless natural-cooling design. By eliminating mechanical fans and liquid-cooling circuits, the sealed architecture is intended to reduce maintenance requirements and improve long-term reliability by preventing dust and moisture ingress. The fanless design also enables silent operation, making the module suitable for applications in residential areas and other noise-sensitive locations. Moreover, the module supports hot swapping, allowing replacement without damaging system components.
