The CapeGate Ice Rink will turn the centre’s covered parking into a glowing winter wonderland from 26 June to 19 July 2026.
CapeGate Shopping Centre has officially launched its highly anticipated winter school holiday attraction, transforming its covered parking area into a neon-lit winter wonderland. Running from 26 June to 19 July 2026, the CG Ice Rink offers a "glowing" skating experience designed to provide a bright, playful escape from the winter chill.
The pop-up attraction caters primarily to children aged three to 15, providing a supervised, safe environment for young skaters to practice their skills or enjoy time on the ice with family and friends. “The CG Ice Rink has become one of those school holiday outings that children look forward to all year,” said Zoë Enslin, Marketing Manager of CapeGate Shopping Centre. “There is something special about old-school family fun that gets everyone laughing, moving, and spending time together.”
Parents are encouraged to join the activity, with the option to skate alongside their children or assist from the sidelines.
