The magic of Neverland is set to take over Cape Town this winter as Canal Walk Shopping Centre transforms its Centre Court into a theatrical wonderland for its 24th annual festive production, Peter Pan. Running from June 27 to July 19, 2026, this spectacular staging of J.M. Barrie’s timeless classic promises an enchanting blend of flying sequences, fairy dust, and classic pirate mischief that will captivate audiences of all ages.
Now entering its third decade, Canal Walk’s beloved school holiday tradition has become a multi-generational staple for local families. This year’s production follows the high-flying adventures of Wendy, John, and Michael Darling, who are whisked away to a world where nobody grows old.
Under the expert direction of acclaimed theatrical duo Fred Abrahamse and Marcel Meyer, the 60-minute show brings to life the thrilling feud between Peter Pan, played by Killian Blerk, and the fearsome Captain Hook, portrayed by Jeremy Richard, who also plays the role of Mr. Darling.
Joining them in the star-studded local cast are Rachael Saunders as Wendy, Kaira Naidoo as Tinker Bell, and Evan Marinakos as the bumbling pirate Smee, supported by a vibrant ensemble playing everything from mermaids to Lost Boys.
