She said: "When I was a little girl, my mum sold pearls. She side-hustled before it was cool! I’ve been waiting 50 years for her to let me open these!!!"‌In the video, the content creator went on to show the tin in question. It was labelled as Empress pearl oysters – a 'product of Japan'.Kirsty wasted no time, opening the two cans with a screwdriver while her mum sat beside her, excited to find out what was inside."What are we going to have? Probably nothing," Kirsty's mother said as she waited for her daughter to get the can open. To this, Kirsty's son said: "Either way, it's fun."‌As they got the first can open, the group grimaced at the smell. However, they wasted no time in seeing what might be hiding inside the can.Kirsty poured the contents onto a disposable tray before using a knife to poke into the oysters, trying to see if she could find any pearls.‌They ended up being very lucky, as they found a pearl inside the very first oyster they opened. And it wasn't the only one they found, as Kirsty continued to extract them.In total, the family found 19 pearls of various sizes. They are planning to turn them into matching rings, which will be a nice memento to remember the day.Kirsty added in the video's overlay: "I've waited 50 years for her to let me open these - success!!!"‌People were equally as excited by the family's fortune and took to the comments section to leave their thoughts.One wrote: "This is so wholesome.
