Atousa Najafi, the sister of Parsa Najafi, a 19-year-old Baha’i citizen who has been detained for over a month, released a video expressing deep concern over her brother’s situation, stating that he is under intense pressure to give “forced confessions.”
According to Atousa Najafi, Parsa Najafi has been held in Isfahan since his arrest, and security agencies have applied heavy pressure to coerce him into incriminating himself.
Parsa Najafi, a 19-year-old Baha’i resident of Isfahan, was arrested on Saturday morning, June 6, following a raid on his family home by security forces, and was subsequently transferred to the Central Prison of Isfahan.
According to reports, at the time of his arrest, security agents thoroughly searched the family home, ransacked the family’s belongings, and confiscated numerous personal items, including mobile phones, laptops, bank cards, cash, textbooks and educational materials, paintings, identification documents, passports, and other personal effects.
Those close to the Baha’i citizen also stated that agents behaved insultingly toward the family members during the operation and used physical force in some instances.
