There were around 12,000 millionaires – people with wealth of over one million US dollars – in Lithuania last year, according to the Swiss bank UBS.
The number rose 8% last year, or by 921 people, according to UBS’ annual Global Wealth Report.
In neighbouring Latvia, the number of millionaires increased 5.7%, or by 1,131 people, to 21,000, while in Poland it rose 4%, or by 3,888 people, to 101,000.
In absolute terms, the United States accounted for nearly half of all new millionaires worldwide in 2025, the report said.
The number of US dollar millionaires in the United States increased 1.9% over the year, or by 441,000 people, reaching 23.6 million.
