A two-day conclave on “Redefining Wheat Value Chains for a New India” will be held in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, from July 9.The meet, organised by the Wheat Products Promotion Society (WPPS) along with the Uttar Pradesh Roller Flour Millers Association (UPRFMA), is expected to be one of the biggest wheat industry gatherings of the year in the country. About 350 participants from 81 cities are expected at the conclave, which will also feature over 50 speakers, moderators and panellists from India and overseas.Manoj Kumar Singh, CEO of the State Transformation Commission, Uttar Pradesh, and Ramesh Chand, a former NITI Aayog member, will be the key experts addressing the conclave.The meet will bring together leaders from flour milling, wheat trade, bakery, bread, biscuits, noodles, pasta, food processing, nutrition, storage, technology, commodity markets, policy and media.It will provide a high-level platform to deliberate on the future of India’s wheat and wheat products value chain, covering global wheat markets, policy, weather and price risk; procurement, trade, storage and supply chain; milling technology, wheat quality, fortification and smart energy solutions; nutrition, bakery, staples, value addition and modern consumer products.Promoting postive messageAjay Goyal, Chairman, WPPS, said: “Through this conclave, WPPS aims to connect, collaborate and create a stronger wheat value chain for New India.” Adi Narayan Gupta, Former Chairman of WPPS, said: “WPPS has grown into a recognised voice of the wheat and wheat products industry.
