Equipment donated by European partners from decommissioned power plants is already operating at energy facilities across Ukraine.
According to Ukrinform, the announcement was made by First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal on Telegram.
"The Ministry of Energy has completed 199 shipments with a total weight of more than 3,300 tons. The equipment is already operating effectively at energy facilities in the Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, Rivne, and Dnipropetrovsk regions, among others. We are grateful to our partners for their practical assistance and for transferring equipment from decommissioned power plants," Shmyhal said.
In particular, Ukraine received 152 shipments of equipment weighing more than 2,400 tons through the Lithuanian company Ignitis Gamyba. Cooperation with the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant also enabled the delivery of another 41 shipments of equipment with a total weight of 780.2 tons.
In addition, six shipments weighing a combined 87.9 tons were delivered to energy companies in central and western Ukraine, as well as Kyiv and Kharkiv, with the support of RWE Power AG.
