No fewer than 15 persons were burnt to death in a two bedroom apartment while three others were shot dead at various intervals over land dispute in Niger state.

The incident happened when some yet-to-be identified assailants stormed the house where the 15 people were staying and set it ablaze killing all the occupants.

Eyewitnesses told Arewa PUNCH that the incident happened in the two villages of Mararraban Gwadaro and Tashan Bako, in Rafi Local Government Area of the state where fighting has continued to rage over land dispute.

Our correspondent learnt that trouble started on June 29 at about 11.30 pm at Godoro village, when suspected armed men fired gunshots at 25 years old Ibrahim Musa who died on the spot.
