July 7 has been declared a Day of Mourning in Kyiv for those who died as a result of the Russian attack.

According to Ukrinform, the capital’s mayor, Vitali Klitschko, announced this on Telegram.

He emphasized that on July 7, flags will be flown at half-mast on all municipal buildings in the city. It is also recommended that national flags be flown at half-mast on state- and privately-owned buildings in the capital.

Any entertainment events in Kyiv on July 7 will be prohibited.

The mayor reminded the public that search and rescue operations are ongoing in damaged buildings in the city’s Podil and Darnytsia districts. People are still being searched for under the rubble there.
