A deluded James Bond superfan whose 'relentless' stalking campaign left film producer Barbara Broccoli 'in constant fear' has been handed a hospital order.Daniel Wilson bombarded the acclaimed industry titan with hundreds of menacing emails, messages and voicenotes over roughly a decade.The obsessed 37-year-old also left an audio message on Ms Broccoli's mobile phone on Valentine's Day last year in which he sang 'I've got murder on my mind' repeatedly.British-American Ms Broccoli said the ordeal caused her to leave her family home of 20 years and keep her new address secret.She also said she hired additional security on the occasions she returned to England for film premieres and events due to grave concerns mentally ill Wilson - who has a history of violence - might turn up.Wilson admitted one count of stalking and two counts of breaching a 2017 restraining order not to contact Ms Broccoli.His Honour Judge Christopher Hehir described Wilson as 'profoundly mentally ill' when he was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order and a lifelong restraining order at Southwark Crown Court today, and said he had concerns he would relapse if he was released into the community given his current health.He said: 'This poor woman lives in a state of terror and apprehension as a result of Mr Wilson's behaviour.' Wilson and her son previously attended the same sixth form college. She said: 'I am fatigued by being constantly on guard.'The long-term effect of Mr Wilson's harassment is chronic psychological strain - I am in constant fear for my personal safety, always on edge and looking over my shoulder.'Wilson, who once interrupted a court hearing by declaring 'James Bond cannot be dead', appeared for his day-long sentencing hearing via videolink from Wandsworth Prison in south-west London. But the link was cut after Wilson 'heckled' the judge, referring to proceedings as 'b*llocks', and yelling: 'Cut the sh*t, mate.'Bond was killed off in a hail of missiles in the 2021 film No Time To Die, the final movie to star long-serving Daniel Craig as the fictional MI6 agent.The court heard Wilson had been admitted to hospital since 2023, and then released into the prison population for the last year. He also claimed 'his contribution' to the Bond film Skyfall 'had not been recognised'.The judge said Wilson was 'still in the grip of delusions', and said his contention that his offending was 'historical water under the bridge some time ago' lacked insight.Forensic psychiatrists said Wilson had a form of mental ill-health which required treatment with antipsychotics and mood stabilisers.Wilson, of Lambeth, south London, initially faced 11 counts of breaching a restraining order made in 2017, on dates between April 1 2022 and April 2024.A further two charges of breaching the restraining order, on February 12 and 14 2025, were later added, along with the stalking charge.At a hearing in March, Wilson pleaded guilty to the two restraining order breaches in February 2025, as well as the stalking charge which dates from April 1 2022 to February 14 2025.The other 11 charges alleging breaches of the restraining order will be left to lie on file. Wilson was handed a restraining order in 2017 forbidding him from contacting Ms BroccoliWilson admitted affray and seven counts of criminal damage relating to the hospital incident in May last year.The 007 fan has shared numerous examples of Bond iconography on social media including an image of the franchise's iconic gun barrel opening sequence, which appears in almost every film.Ms Broccoli's father, Albert 'Cubby' Broccoli, bought the rights to the fictional British MI6 agent from creator Ian Fleming in 1961.He produced Dr No, starring Sean Connery, the following year and oversaw the hugely successful franchise until he passed it on to Barbara and her half-brother Michael G Wilson in 1995.The pair retained creative control until last year, when Amazon Studios – owned by billionaire Jeff Bezos – controversially bought the rights for £770million.This came despite Ms Broccoli being widely quoted as referring to the bosses of the streaming giant as 'f***ing morons.'There remains no script for the next instalment of the franchise, and no actor has been confirmed to play the martini-drinking secret agent.But Broccoli said in 2024 that Craig's successor 'will be a man.'
