A homicide investigation is underway following the death of a 22-year-old man who was allegedly assaulted at a business premises in Togafuafua.
The Samoa Police and Corrections Services said officers responded on Friday, July 3, to a report of a serious assault involving the man.
He was taken to Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit, where he later died from his injuries on Saturday despite medical treatment.
Police said investigations into the death are continuing and further information will be released as it becomes available.
The death comes as police also investigate a separate assault reported during the early hours of Sunday, July 5.
