Taupō area investigations manager, Detective Senior Sergeant Ryan Yardley, said police were called to a Hinau St property shortly before midnight on June 18 where a woman was found unresponsive.

Police have arrested and charged a 39-year-old man with her murder and he is due to appear in Tokoroa District Court today.
