The oil refinery in Omsk was hit by upgraded Fire Point drones. Now Ukraine's long-range sanctions have reached Siberia.

As Ukrinform reports, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky stated this during his evening video address.

"We continue to respond to Russia’s strikes in a completely justified way – implementing our plan of long-range sanctions precisely and effectively – and everyone in the world recognizes this. Today, our long-range sanctions reached the oil refinery in Omsk – nearly 2,500 kilometers from Ukraine. Upgraded Firepoint drones have put Siberia within reach of Ukrainian precision," Zelensky stressed, adding that this is a tangible loss for Russia's oil economy and an important result for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The head of state also thanked the Security Service of Ukraine, intelligence, and the Unmanned Systems Forces for strikes on the refinery in Yaroslavl and on other oil facilities on Russian territory and on territory occupied by the Russians.
