Chennai-based Intellect Design Arena is moving beyond digital banking software to ‘AI-First Banking’ through its eMACH.ai platform, with a strong emphasis on enterprise AI, governance and explainability rather than AI pilots. In the company’s annual report for FY25-26, Intellect Design Arena said that financial institutions are increasingly embedding AI across enterprise operations. “This shift continues to create significant opportunities across consumer Banking, wholesale banking, payments, treasury, wealth management, insurance and enterprise AI,” it said. The company added that within enterprises, AI adoption is shifting from experimentation to production with customers now prioritising measurable business outcomes, governance and explainable AI over standalone AI features. On the demand environment, Intellect said that despite macro uncertainties, banks globally are increasing spending on AI-native platforms, cloud migration, payments modernisation and core banking transformation, which it believes will support long-term growth. As for the company’s verticals, wholesale banking contributed 46% of FY26 revenue, consumer banking 35%, while wealth, insurance and AI contributed 17%.
