Man calls for state of emergency on child abuse after Abia incident
Nigerian writer and founder of the Leave No One Behind Rural Care Initiative, Charles Ogbu, has called on the government to declare a state of emergency on child abuse and violence against children following an attack on a young girl in Abia State.
Ogbu made the call in a Facebook post on Monday while reacting to a viral video that allegedly showed a woman assaulting a young girl and attempting to cut her throat with a knife.
According to him, the incident occurred at IBB Estate.
In the video, the girl, is seen crying, pleading for help and shielding her throat as the woman allegedly threatened her with a knife.
