FY26 saw modest growth in merchandise exports at about 1 per cent to $441.8 billion from $437.7 billion in FY25. This growth is despite India being put through the wringer by the US administration with its tariffs and sanctions. Tamil Nadu did particularly well, pulling up India’s average and steadily catching up with Maharashtra.
