A 20-year-old youth, who was riding pillion on a two-wheeler, was killed after the vehicle hit a car and rammed into a tipper lorry at Peruvamuzhi near Kolenchery on Monday (July 6, 2026).His friend, who was riding the two-wheeler, sustained serious injuries in the accident and was admitted to the intensive care unit at a hospital in Kolenchery. The deceased was identified as Rahul, a native of Madakkathanam in Thodupuzha. He was a student at a private engineering college in Puthencruz, according to the police.Senior officials at the Puthencruz police station said the two-wheeler lost control after hitting a car and then rammed into a tipper lorry.
