The Cross River State Police Command has commenced investigations into the death of a woman, Blessing Ayebe, whose body was discovered inside the toilet facility of a church in the Ikot Ansa area of Calabar Municipality.
Vanguard gathered that the body was found around 9 p.m. last Monday, days after the woman was reported missing by her family.
Findings showed Ayebe attended a service at the Presbyterian Church, Ikot Ansa Parish, on Saturday, June 28, but never returned home afterwards.
Her son, Saviour Ayebe, first alerted the family to her disappearance, prompting her daughter, Peace Ayebe, to report the matter at the Federal Housing Police Station in Calabar on Tuesday, July 1.
