Cameras in the Blu lineup do more than passively record. AI processing on the video feed distinguishes between a person walking up to the front door, a car pulling into the driveway, and a package being dropped off on the porch. Two-way audio through the camera speakers also lets you talk to whoever the camera picks up, from anywhere your phone has a signal.
The ADT+ app is the control panel for the entire Blu system. Arming and disarming happen from your phone, with location-based automation available for setting the system to arm when the last family member leaves the house. Motion alerts push notifications to the app when a sensor trips, and connected cameras stream live video through the same interface. Two-way audio also lets you speak through the cameras from anywhere, useful for greeting a delivery driver or checking on a pet at home.
Professional monitoring is optional on ADT Blu, not required. Self-monitoring lets you handle motion alerts and video events on your own through the app, without any monthly fee. Activating ADT’s 24/7 professional monitoring network gives you a monitored alarm response, where trained operators contact you and dispatch emergency services if needed. Both options are available without a long-term contract, and you can switch between them as needs change over time.
