Fashion once again shared the spotlight with horse racing at the Hollywoodbets Durban July, as South Africa’s most stylish racegoers transformed Greyville Racecourse into a celebration of creativity, culture and couture.

This year’s Country Allure theme came to life on Saturday during the Raceday Fashion Awards, presented by Durban Fashion Fair, where 150 entrants competed for top honours across four coveted categories.

The Pulse Stage became a runway of bold fashion statements, with entrants drawing inspiration from South Africa’s sweeping landscapes, rich cultural heritage and timeless elegance. From impeccably tailored suits and flowing silhouettes to intricate handcrafted accessories and eye-catching hats, the competition showcased the country’s flair for fashion.

Among the biggest winners was Gistine Kifubula, who claimed the Classic Racewear Female title in a striking Country Allure-inspired creation by designer Nqobisa Ndabeni.

“I’m so grateful and amazed to have won,” Kifubula said after receiving the award.
