Jul 6, 2026 – 5.52pmProduction workers at BHP’s Port Hedland hub in the Pilbara have overwhelmingly endorsed options to strike, setting up the mining giant up for a coordinated shutdown of the largest iron ore loading port in the world.About 97 per cent of the Australian Workers Union’s members at the export hub supported protected industrial action out of frustration with BHP over pay negotiations that have dragged on for more than six months.
