Russia launched a massive overnight missile and drone attack on Kyiv, killing at least seven people and injuring 24 others. Residential buildings were damaged, with some partially collapsing and people feared trapped under the rubble. The assault came hours after President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned of another large-scale Russian strike. Following the attack, Zelenskyy renewed his appeal to Western allies for more Patriot air defence systems, saying stronger defences are critical to protecting civilians as the war continues.
