Michele Akester-Marsh and her husband moved 550 miles from Dorset to Scotland to afford the rural property of their dreams.
Three years ago, they bought a Victorian farmhouse with around 6.5 acres in Angus for £405,000. In their home county, an equivalent property would have cost more than £1.2m.
