When Helen Flanagan and Scott Sinclair moved into a spectacular six-bedroom mansion five years ago, they set up a special social media account documenting how they were going about creating their dream ‘forever’ home.

The couple posted a series of interior design and styling updates on an Instagram page called ’the Sinclair home’ – from the creation of a Harry Potter-themed playroom for their children to how a £15,000 sofa had been lovingly reupholstered in ‘beautiful dove grey’.

The sofa would later become a major bone of contention between the former celebrity couple after their 13-year relationship ended just a year after they moved into the property, which Sinclair had bought in June 2021 for £840,000.

Amid a decline in the couple’s fortunes and an increasingly acrimonious split, ex-footballer Sinclair, 37, is said to have stepped in to block the sale of the settee after former Coronation Street star Helen put it up for grabs on Instagram for £3,950.

The sofa has reportedly been placed with much of their other furniture in storage as the warring couple continue to argue over details following their split.
