Police recovered blue lights and uniforms allegedly used by suspects to impersonate law enforcement officers during robberies and hijackings.
Police in Devon, Gauteng and the Mpumalanga Organised Crime Investigation Unit have arrested two suspects believed to be linked to blue-light robberies and car hijackings.
The suspects, aged 32 and 41, are expected to appear in the Magistrate’s Court today, Monday, July 6, facing charges including possession of a suspected stolen vehicle, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition and impersonating a police officer.
The suspects were arrested on Friday, July 3, during a stop-and-search operation in Devon.
It is reported that one vehicle failed to stop, leading to a chase that ended in Leslie.
