Stacy Revere / Getty ImagesJuly 5, 2026 Updated 9:04 pm EDTDallas Stars star winger Jason Robertson was among 15 players who filed for salary arbitration Sunday, which will make the restricted free agents ineligible to receive offer sheets.Robertson, 26, had 45 goals and 51 assists for the Stars last season as he finished a four-year, $31 million contract ($7.75 million AAV).Robertson is the biggest remaining unsigned RFA who is due a new contract this offseason. The Stars had a trade in place for their three-time 40-goal scorer to the Seattle Kraken last week, but Robertson indicated he would not sign a long-term contract with the Kraken. Seattle reportedly offered an eight-year deal at an average annual value of $15 million.
Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale of the Philadelphia Flyers, Braden Schneider of the New York Rangers, Jet Greaves of the Columbus Blue Jackets, Kirby Dach of the Montreal Canadiens, Connor McMichael of the St. Louis Blues and Cole Perfetti of the Winnipeg Jets are among some of the other notable players who filed for arbitration.For eligible players who did not file for arbitration, their teams have until 5 p.m. ET Monday to elect for arbitration themselves. Hearings will be scheduled between July 20 and Aug. 1. Teams can avoid those by reaching agreement with their arbitration-eligible RFAs.McMichael was just acquired by the Blues in a draft-day trade with the Washington Capitals for Jordan Kyrou. Nick Robertson of the Pittsburgh Penguins and Akira Schmid of the Florida Panthers are others going into arbitration with their new teams.Penguins forward Egor Chinakhov was eligible to file but signed a three-year contract Sunday worth $18.75 million.
