The All Progressives Congress in Kwara State on Sunday kicked off mobilisation for the 2027 general election with a statewide rally in support of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election and a celebration of the party’s candidates who emerged from its recently concluded primaries.
The procession, organised by Kwara Progressives under the banner, “Kwara Ndupe (Kwara is Grateful),” drew party leaders, candidates and supporters through major streets of Ilorin, the state capital.
Organisers described the rally as both a celebration of the successful primaries and an early mobilisation for the 2027 general elections.
Addressing journalists during the rally, the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Abdulateef Alakawa, said the event was organised to thank God for the peaceful conduct of the primaries, which produced candidates for elective offices across the state through the direct primary process.
