The Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, has urged Nigerians living abroad to stop dwelling solely on negative narratives about the country and instead promote its achievements and positive image.
Dabiri-Erewa said although Nigeria faces challenges, its citizens, particularly those in the diaspora, should celebrate the nation’s success stories and the positive impact Nigerians continue to make across the world.
According to a statement on Sunday by the commission’s Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, she spoke during a visit to the Chairman of Nottinghamshire County Council in the United Kingdom, Councillor Christopher Adegoke, and the Mayor of Islington, Councillor Rosaline Oguro.
Dabiri-Erewa urged Nigerians abroad to continue striving for excellence while serving as worthy ambassadors of the country.
