The UAE has pledged $30 million in emergency humanitarian aid for civilians affected by the deteriorating situation in Sudan's Al Obeid.

Aid will be delivered through the UAE Aid Agency, targeting urgent needs including food, drinking water, shelter and healthcare for displaced people.

The Emirates stressed that protecting civilians across Sudan must remain an urgent priority, calling on all conflict parties to comply with international humanitarian law.

The UAE called for a civilian-led political process to achieve lasting peace, reaffirming that there is no military solution to Sudan's crisis.
