KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia — Philippine Air Force Reserve Brig. Gen. Michael “Mikee” L. Romero, a formerHouse deputy speaker, has been recognized as among Outstanding Leaders in Asia for his multiple successes that have influenced a broader mindset shift for sustainable growth beyond corporate boundaries.
“Brigadier General Romero exemplifies a leader whose multifaceted impact redefines leadershipstandards, setting a benchmark for future generations,” the ACES Awards 2026 said in its officialstatement.
A celebrated sportsman, sports patron, and businessman, Romero was a legislator whose three terms in Congress, a total of nine years, were capped last year by his service as House committee chairman on poverty alleviation.
