The Loose Women star shared the admission as she spoke to her eldest son, Shane Nolan, and her daughter, Ciara Fensome, during a discussion about stag nights and hen dos16:20, 05 Jul 2026Updated 16:21, 05 Jul 2026Coleen Nolan has revealed how a four-hour catastrophe played out when she found herself alone the night before her wedding to Shane Richie. The Loose Women panellist made the remarks while discussing stag and hen parties with her eldest son, Shane Nolan, and daughter, Ciara Fensome.‌Coleen has been married twice — initially EastEnders star Shane Richie in 1990, before their separation nine years later, and subsequently to Ray Fensome in 2007, with that marriage ending a decade afterwards.‌The mother of three to Shane, Ciara and Jake reflected on her first marriage — which saw her elope to Orlando, Florida — during a wedding-themed instalment of The Nolans Uncensored podcast on June 30.‌Speaking to Shane and Ciara, Coleen revealed: "The first time round, cos we eloped, I didn't have a hen do cos obviously no one knew. But I spent the night before my wedding on my own."And I was in the bedroom trying to put false nails on and I glued my thumb to my finger for four hours. I couldn't get it off. It was like super glued.‌"And I'm going, 'I don't know what to do'. It was literally glued on and I actually had to rip it off."Ciara said it was "sad" that she spent the night alone, as Coleen claimed that Shane "went out". Her son joked that she couldn't blame him for that because she was "Billy no mates".Coleen responded: "I was Billy no mates coz he wanted to elope!"‌Appearing on Loose Women's Just Between Us podcast in 2025, Coleen revealed why she and Shane chose to elope — admitting they "had a big wedding planned".She said: "Did I have bridesmaids? No - not with Shane, because we eloped. We didn't tell anyone."And the reason we eloped was because we had a big wedding planned, I had my dress and everything, everything was organised and it was huge, but the only people who weren't asked about any of it were me and Shane."‌She continued: "My parents took over and his side of the family took over."It comes after Coleen was supported by fans and friends after sharing some "very sad" news.
