And it looks as though their relationship is heading in the right direction as the Good Morning Britain star, 59, joined Liam on a romantic trip to Italy.‌The pair have been dating for three months but have known each other for years. In a recent interview, Liam broke his silence over speculation of his romance with Kate.‌He confirmed they were dating and was excited to see how it develops. According to reports, Liam, who works as an economic journalist, was travelling to Italy for work and asked Kate to join him. And she was happy to accept his invitation.‌A source told The Sun on Sunday: "It will be quite low-key, but they are hoping to be able to spend some time together and enjoy the Italian cuisine."In May, Kate, who shares two children with her late husband, was spotted looking cosy with Liam, as he prepared to enter a bike ride in London.‌Stood side by side, Kate was snapped grinning from ear to ear, while Liam also appeared in good spirits dressed in his bike riding attire.Derek died in January 2024 after battling Covid for nearly four years. And Kate had been by his side until his dying day.Kate's relationship with Liam comes a year after she openly admitted that she could not foresee finding love again after Derek's death.‌In an interview with OK! magazine back in October last year, she said: "What Derek and I loved was our home life and just pottering around, and we had 21 years of that, so mentally I am still in that zone."But an insider told the Mirror that her friends were gently encouraging Kate to see herself as a single woman and embrace the idea of meeting someone new.The source said: "There is someone who’s interested and her friends are encouraging her just to explore that and see how it makes her feel. But Kate isn’t really ready for anything more than friendship right now. It’s still too soon, so no one is trying to force things."‌They added: "It would be lovely for her to just take things really slowly, and even see herself as a single woman again. One who has a lot to offer and deserves a lot in return. There’s talk about her starting to go out for a few dinners, and going slowly."Speaking at the Tric Awards last month, Kate coyly opened up about her budding romance with Liam and confirmed that it was still early days but so far this year has been a great year for her.And back in April, Liam said: "I’ve known Kate for years and we’ve recently become close.
