ILOILO CITY — A former police officer wanted for murder surrendered to the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO-6) early Sunday, July 5, ending more than three years in hiding.

The suspect, identified only by the alias “Jerry,” 40, of Arevalo District, Iloilo City, turned himself in at Camp Martin Teofilo Delgado in Fort San Pedro at around 12:45 a.m.

Jerry surrendered to Police Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño, acting director of PRO-6. He is the subject of a warrant of arrest for murder issued on April 26, 2022, by the Regional Trial Court Branch 31 in Iloilo City. The court did not recommend bail.

Authorities said the former police officer had previously evaded an attempt by the Integrity Monitoring and Enforcement Group to serve the warrant at Iloilo City Police Station 4.FEATURED STORIES
