Taylor Swift's favorite teacher, who later worked as her security guard, died on the same day she got married to Kansas Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.Kirk Schwabe, 69, died of renal cancer on July 3 as his former student said 'I do' in a private ceremony at New York City's Madison Square Garden, The Telegraph reported. Schwabe had served as a Chicago police officer in the years before he taught Swift criminal justice at Henderson High School in Nashville, Tennessee from 2004 through 2006.When her career was then beginning to take off in 2009, Schwabe quit his job to work for Swift as her bodyguard at the request of her family.The singer-songwriter later honored Schwabe as she made a cameo in Garry Marshall's romantic comedy Valentine's Day - naming her character's teacher Mr. Schwabe. In an interview ahead of the nuptials, Schwabe recounted to The Telegraph how he once told a young Swift: 'You're a superstar. This is not fun and games no more. You are it.' 'Everything keeps going up and up and up, and the sky's the limit for you.'But he described watching Swift's rise to fame as a 'panic.'
