The second phase of the international Sea Breeze exercises will be held in July, with the main focus on mine countermeasures and the protection of civilian shipping.

Dmytro Pletenchuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, stated this in a comment to Ukrinform.

Pletenchuk said that later this month the second phase of the Sea Breeze naval exercise series would take place and would once again focus on mine countermeasure operations, as this was also about Ukraine's economic security and the safety of civilian shipping.

The spokesperson also recalled that in 2025, Ukrainian naval personnel had carried out around 50 mine countermeasure operations.
