Manu Samoa opened their World Rugby Nations Cup campaign with a 66-19 win over Hong Kong China in Santiago, Chile, on Sunday morning.
After the match, Manu Samoa captain Miracle Fai’ilagi said the win was a strong start to their Nations Cup campaign.
“It’s a great effort today from the boys,” he said. “It’s really good to get the win and set our platform and momentum for the upcoming games.” Fai’ilagi said Hong Kong China were a tough side and Samoa had to recover after a slow start to the second half.
“We kind of lost our way in the first 20 minutes of the second half, but credit to the boys for bouncing back,” he said.
