Springbok prop Ox Nche looks on as he leaves the pitch after sustaining a knee injury during the rugby Nations Championship match against England at Ellis Park Stadium on Saturday.

Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus was not sure whether to laugh or cry after his team had beaten England 45-21 at Ellis Park, but at the cost of unfortunate injuries.

“Ox (Nche) came off with a knee injury, and I must be honest, it does not look good. It seems pretty bad,” the coach said.

Before kick-off, the Boks lost veterans Eben Etzebeth and Siya Kolisi.

“Eben took a knock to the head in training, and he could be okay for Scotland this week, but we wait and see,” the coach said. “Siya picked up a hamstring strain late in the week, and we are not yet sure how bad it is. Andre Esterhuizen also took a knock to the head in the second half, and we await clarification on that one.”
