CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, La Union — All 49 barangays in the municipality of Agoo received brand-new multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) from the provincial government of La Union early this week to strengthen emergency response and improve the delivery of public services.
Gov. Mario Eduardo Ortega, Vice Gov. Eric Sibuma, and members of the Provincial Board led the turnover ceremony at the Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center on Tuesdday, June 30.
Funded through the province’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Fund, the vehicles are intended to enhance the barangays’ capability to respond to emergencies, carry out rescue operations during disasters, and deliver essential government services more efficiently.
