A South African Indian couple from Durban, who relocated to the US as part of the refugee resettlement programme, described having no regrets about their move.
The couple, who spoke to US Youtuber Colonel Chris Wyatt this week, said they were enjoying the safety and hospitality of the “land of milk and honey”.
The couple chose to speak to Wyatt under a pseudonym and said they sold their business and home in Durban to become refugees in the US after learning about the programme in February last year.
They were among about 7,000 applicants, the majority being white Afrikaner farmers, who left South Africa under the US Refugee Admissions Program.
