Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has inspected the ongoing construction of Justice Saidu Kawu Court House, expressing satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done so far.
Accompanied by the State’s Chief Judge, Justice Abiodun Ayodele Adebara, the Governor said the multistorey project is borne out of his belief that the judiciary — like others — deserves to operate in a very decent environment.
“The work is going on very well. This is the major building of the Court House. We are trying to give the judiciary a better working environment,” the Governor told reporters in Ilorin on the sideline of the visit.
“We have seen what His Excellency Nyesom Wike has done for the judiciary and we are trying to give another great edifice and masterpiece architecture that offers a very conducive environment for the judiciary. So, all we are doing is to make sure the standards are improved.
“The judges shouldn’t be doing their work in sub-standard offices and infrastructure. So, we are also setting a standard that can be emulated in other parts of the country.”
