Could you tell us about your educational background?
I had my primary and secondary education in Benue State and obtained my first degree in Philosophy from the University of Ibadan, Oyo State. I later obtained my second degree in Theology from the Dominican Institute, in affiliation with the University of St Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), Rome.
How did you discover your talent in visual arts?
It is innate. I started drawing and sketching from the time I could read and write. I never sat in a classroom where visual art (or Fine and Applied Art, as it was formerly called) was taught. I was practically self-taught. As time went by, I came across some great artist friends who taught me some basics, such as colour mixing and perspective, among others.
Who were the people whose works inspired your paintings?
