The Lions International District 404B6 Nigeria has stated its readiness to partner with the Osun State Government to tackle the menace of out-of-school children in the state.

This assurance was given by the District Governor, Sunday Akere, in a statement issued in Osogbo on Friday to herald the 2026/2027 Lions Service Year.

The former Osun State Commissioner for Information noted the presence of a large number of school-age children, mostly from the northern part of the country, in Osun who are not attending school.

He declared the club’s readiness to partner with the government and other stakeholders to address the challenge posed by these children roaming the streets in the state.
