Coinciding with the commencement of burial ceremonies for Ali Khamenei and members of his family, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a statement renewing threats against the United States, Israel, and their allies, warning that any “calculated miscalculation” would be met with a response “more decisive and crushing than ever.”
In the statement, the IRGC declared that its forces, alongside other branches of the Islamic Republic’s armed capabilities, remain in a state of “comprehensive combat and faith-based readiness” under the command of the new Supreme Leader to confront what it termed the “enemy.”
The IRGC further asserted that this state of alert “is not merely a military display” but rather a reflection of “a nation’s abhorrence” toward what it described as “oppression and aggression.” The statement added that, by relying on this readiness, the Islamic Republic “will bring the enemy to its knees.”
In another section of the communique, the Revolutionary Guards referenced a “cry for vengeance,” claiming that this posture would drive the United States, Israel, and their regional and trans-regional supporters into “despair and hopelessness.”
This statement comes as the burial processions for Ali Khamenei are being conducted under sweeping security protocols and amid repeated vows by Islamic Republic officials in recent days to sustain their policy of confrontation against the United States and Israel.
