Sensex, Nifty, Stock Price Highlights: Sensex climbs 261.79 points to settle at 77,763.91; Nifty up 95.15 points to 24,270.85.

IT companies, which earn a significant share of their ‌revenue from the U.S., rose 1.9% and led the sectoral gains. U.S. job growth slowed ⁠sharply in June and payroll gains for the prior two months ‌were revised lower, pointing to a cooling labour market and prompting financial markets to dial back expectations for a near-term rate hike.
