Sensex Today, Nifty 50 | Stock Market Highlights: Indian equity markets ended higher on Wednesday as benchmark indices recovered sharply, supported by gains in banking and IT stocks and a decline in global crude oil prices. The Sensex climbed 790.54 points, or 1.04 per cent, to close at 76,991.22, while the Nifty advanced 197.55 points, or 0.83 per cent, to settle at 24,021.65.
