A data center previously occupied by Flexential in Pennsylvania is up for sale or lease.Real estate firm Five 9s Digital is listing 744 Roble Road in Allentown as available for lease or sale. A listing price wasn’t included.Sitting on 3.4 acres, the 46,800 sq ft (4,345 sqm) data center is described as a “rare opportunity to secure a large-scale AI, cloud, and HPC deployment within the Lehigh Valley market with a materially shorter path to revenue generation than traditional greenfield developments.”The single-story facility currently offers 2.5MW of capacity, with 10MW available within six months via existing distribution infrastructure, and 40MW eight months after the first phase via PPL Electric Utilities.The site currently includes 2.9MW of backup generators and 849kW of UPS capacity.The listing says leasing remains the “preferred path,” but ownership would “consider” acquisition opportunities.The facility was previously occupied by Flexential, which operated it as its DC7 facility. It's unclear when the company exited the site, but the listing notes the data center was recently vacated.The site was once operated by InetU, which was founded around 1996 and acquired by ViaWest in 2015. ViaWest was merged with Peak10 around 2017 to create what is now Flexential.Flexential no longer lists the Allentown building on its website. The company’s only current data center in Pennsylvania is located near Philadelphia in Collegeville: Flexential acquired the former GlaxoSmithKline data center in 2017.
