Several Western Cape tourism organisations have been recognised for their commitment to sustainable and community-focused tourism at the 2026 WTM Africa Responsible Tourism Awards, held in Cape Town during World Travel Market Africa.

Leading the province's winners was the V&A Waterfront Academy, which received a Gold Award for its work in skills development, enterprise support, and the creation of employment opportunities for young people and aspiring entrepreneurs.
