A 51-year-old St Ann man has been charged for the stabbing murder of his former girlfriend, whose body was found along a dirt track in the Capture Land community of Mammee Bay last month.Charged is Conross Hylton, otherwise called 'Rasta' and 'Spragga', a higgler of Mammee Bay Estate.The deceased has been identified as 34-year-old Jestice Howell, otherwise called 'Nooks', a vendor of Capture Land.The police report that about 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, Hylton, who allegedly shared a previous relationship with Howell, visited her home. Howell reportedly went outside to meet him, after which an altercation developed between the two, the police reported.During the dispute, Hylton allegedly used a ratchet to stab Howell in the neck before fleeing the scene in a Toyota Hiace bus.The police were alerted and, on arrival, found Howell lying face down in blood along a dirt track in the community.She was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.The police said Hylton turned himself in to the police on Monday, June 29, about 6:00 p.m. in the company of his attorney.
